How to Welcome Guests
The etiquette demands extremely high level of hospitality towards our guests. We need to make these people feel comfortable in our home. It is our job to comfort them properly. However, is creating comfort for our guests always related to high expenses or it is more about personal approach and creating the best for a special person?
A few days ago two of my best friends came to my home. Probably anyone else in my place would spend a lot on food and drinks but I decided to focus most on what these people like and make it all for them. So, I bought a bottle of splendid wine which I know they like, unpacked the best glasses that I have and used my best and finest table cloth. Now you probably imagine the boring picture of three of us sitting around a table talking usual and unimportant things but you’d be wrong. We sat on the floor, on my carpet for hours, we had a candle lighten and some nice music in the background. At the end of the night my guest were a bit drunk but smiley and satisfied from the time spent.
The point that I’m trying to make here is about personal approach to your guests. I knew my friends will appreciate the efforts and will enjoy the night. But they are the kind of people who don’t mind to sit on the carpet.
So, get to know your friends and try to make the best for them. Be creative and don’t be scared to try something new. If you have your home cleaned and well ordered the proper drinks and atmosphere will be enough to deliver true comfort.
